Short Description:

The following skills are needed an Openshift administrator role for our next generation Destiny implementation.

Skills/Required Years of Experience:

Strong experience with Operating Systems: RHEL6/7, Redhat Atomic Linux [Bonus: CoreOS] (Required 12 years)
Experience with Docker [Bonus: CRI-O] (Required 6 years)
Experience with OpenShift Production support with experience in Kubernetes persistent volume management and Kubernetes volume managers (i.e. Portworx) (Required 3 years)
Experience with automation and monitoring using Ansible, Ansible Tower and yaml (Required 8 years)
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline and DevOps processes in Openshift (Required 3 years)
Basic networking, including Firewall, Load Balancers, DNS, etc (Required 16 years)
16+ yrs as an Enterprise Architect (Required 16 years)
16+ yrs building an IT system roadmap (Required 16 years)
16+ yrs system diagramming/modeling using structured modeling language like UML (Required 16 years)
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (Required)

Role:

The role will require you to construct and configure a new OpenShift Container Platform environment and facilitate application implementation.

Description:

• Strong experience with Operating Systems: RHEL6/7, Redhat Atomic Linux [Bonus: CoreOS]
• 3+ years of experience with OpenShift Production support with experience in Kubernetes persistent volume management and Kubernetes volume managers such as Portworx, Trident, Gluster, Rook, etc
• Experience with Docker [Bonus: CRI-O]
• Experience with installing, upgrading and maintaining OpenShift in a multinode cluster environment
• Experience with automation and monitoring using Ansible, Ansible Tower and yaml
• Experience with git and jira
• Experience with shell scripting [Bonus: Python]
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline and DevOps processes in Openshift
• Excellent technical analysis and problem solving skills
• Understand basic networking, including Firewall, Load Balancers, DNS, etc

Responsibilities:

  1. Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff.
  2. Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines.
  3. Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
  4. Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle, Sybase).
  5. Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.
