Complete Description:

The selected candidate shall work with MPD’s Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve data quality issues related to a large legacy data conversion project. The selected candidate should be able to analyze and document rules provided by the business team and design ETL objects to implement and verify them. This candidate will spend a major portion of his/her time writing complex SQL queries to analyze and resolve legacy data quality issues in a data conversion project. This candidate must be meticulous in all project tasks. The candidate must have strong verbal skills and must be able to communicate with non-technical people. He/she must also be able to write clear explanations of complex topics, as much of MPD’s correspondence is handled through e-mail.

Required Skills:

Experience with and strong SQL querying knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and above (Required 6 Years)
Experience with and strong SQL querying knowledge of Oracle 10g and above (Required 6 Years)
Experience with performance tuning of long-running SQL queries using Oracle & SQL Server (Required 6 Years)
Experience with Informatica 8.6.1 or 9.x. (Required 6 Years)
Experience with Informatica Pow er Center – design, development, testing, and implementation of ETL jobs (Required 6 Years)
Experience with and working knowledge of ETL processes and Informatica Best Practices based on industry standards (Required 6 Years)
Requirements gathering / analysis – creating functional requirements (Required 6 Years)
Map source-to-target elements, design/develop transformation processes to load data from source to target, and develop/tune Informatica mappings

Extensive knowledge in performance tuning, surrogate key assignments and partitioning techniques (Required 6 Years)
Understanding of Data Quality in OLTP systems and Business Intelligence environments (Required 6 Years)
Complete working knowledge of SDLC lifecycle model (Required 6 Years)
Understanding of change management and production support processes (Required 6 Years)
Experience preparing implementation and contingency plans for supported applications (Required 6 Years)
Experience with logical and physical data modeling techniques (Required 3 Years)
