Complete Description:
This position performs the design, engineering, and lead technician supervisory responsibility for contractors installing and maintaining all fiber and copper cabling technology associated with the DC-Net IP ringed architectural deployment platform.
Required Skills/Experience:
Know ledge to design the ISP/OSP jobs in VISIO, Auto-CAD and ARC GIS
(Required 10 Years)
Full knowledge of Verizon UG conduit, plats, and aerial drawings (Required 10 Years)
Knowledge to design ISP relay/ladder rack and electronic component reqts
(Required 10 Years)
Knowledge to design electrical requirements for WAN/LAN (Required 10 Years)
Knowledge to perform site surveys and design ISP infrastructure
(Highly desired 10 Years)
Knowledge to plan aerial/underground routes to meet the electronic reqts
(Required 10 Years)
OSP/ISP Eng. Experience specific to Dist. Of Columbia area (Required 10 Years)
Fiber and copper procedural and quality control splicing exp (Highly desired 10 Years)
Full knowledge of proactive/reactive fiber maintenance practices (Highly desired 10 Years)
BICSI or related cabling certification (Required)
