The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), seeks one contractor who will provide State Longitudinal Education Data System (SLED) Architect services to provide due diligence, investigate and direct and document architect decisions in order to direct proper alignment with the Federal Department of Education requirements standards. This is a highly skilled position and this candidate needs to be familiar with educational data requirements as outlined by state and federal educational requirements for data reporting
This Contractor will also assist and direct data interfaces with other OSSE systems to include but not limited to Early Childhood Education (ECE), Grants Systems and Post Secondary Educational systems. Will also recommend and consult concerning emerging technologies for SLED to include mobile computing, open content and visual Data Analysis.
Contractor shall be responsible for assuring that personnel have laptops and communication equipment. Contractors shall work onsite. Over time, over 8 hours a day and or over 40 hours a week is only authorized if approved in writing before it is worked.
Very Strong knowledge of Longitudinal Data Technology Strategy & Roadmap (Required 10 Years)
Experience with Project Planning and Management (Required 10 Years)
Experience with Architecting Data Infrastructure Solutions (Required 8 Years)
Strong understanding of State and Local Education Agency reporting needs (Highly desired)
Experience data integration leveraging data messaging platforms (Highly desired)
Experience with emerging mobile application technologies (Required 2 Years)
Familiar with SDLC methodologies (Highly desired)
Experience with developing IT policies and procedures (Highly desired)
Experience with emerging visual data analysis and presentations (Required 2 Years)
Architect and design transactional Sharepoint applications (Required 2 Years)
