The Project Manager for Health Information Technology must provide project management services in support of the District’s management team for the establishment of a District-wide Heath Information Exchange System and other HIT related activities.

This position will assist in the implementation and oversight of activities necessary to ensure the successful development and implementation of the Health Information Exchange Cooperative Agreement with the HHS/ONC which is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and its related Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.

The selected candidate will provide technical assistance and oversight of the development of a health information exchange network focused on improving quality of care. The overall goal of developing the DC HIE is to create the technology and business infrastructure that will enable all health care stakeholders in the District to achieve program efficiencies and improved care outcomes through secure exchange of patient health information.

The resource will also ensure that the DHCF will meet with program’s objectives for the establishment and operation of DC HIE and ensure the program is aligned with District stakeholders to ensure support for and use of HIE services.

Required Experience:
Project management experience (Required 13  Years)
Healthcare industry experience (Required 13  Years)
Experience in working with and development of Health Information Exchanges. (Required 5  Years)
Experience managing multiple large-scale projects (Required 13  Years)
Experience in managing IT performance (Required 13  Years)
Knowledge and proficiency in the use of project planning & scheduling tools (Required 10  Years)
Exp. in leading executive level meetings and/or presentations (Required 13  Years)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint (Required 13  Years)
