Location Data Center (ODC1): 3919 Benning Rd NE
Position will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of standards, naming conventions, and ongoing deployment of a multi-data center DB2 environment, including disaster recovery, high availability, and data center relocation projects. Must have extensive experience with the installation, support, and roll-out of DB2 components, BMC Tools and Utilities, and related products. Must have complete familiarity with z/OS, TSO/ISPF and IBM utilities. Experience with SMP/E, Sysplex environments, and DB2 integration with WLM is desired. Position will provide technical support to application and data center staffs. Additional desired skills are Oracle, SQL, z/VM, LInux and MVS systems.
Behavioral Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Position will require project leadership in support ofCharacteristics data center projects and strategic initiatives.
Required Experience:
BMC & ISV Tools & Utilities Install & Exp. (Required 5 Years)
DB2 DBA Experience (Required 8 Years)
Mainframe DB2 Systems Support (Required 8 Years)
Mainframe DB2 V9 (or later) Installation (Required 4 Years)
SMP/E Installation (Required 5 Years)
z/OS, IBM Utilities, TSO/ISPF/Clist/REXX (Required 8 Years)
DB2 Capacity Planning & Perf. Mgmt. (Highly desired)
Oracle and SQL DBA Experience (Highly desired)
