The Project Manager/HIT Architect must provide project management services in support of the District’s management team for the State Medicaid Health Information Technology Plan (SMHP) project, Heath Information Exchange and other HIT related activities.

This position will assist in the implementation and oversight of activities necessary to ensure the successful development and implementation of the Health Information Exchange Cooperative Agreement with the HHS/ONC which is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and its related Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.

The selected candidate will provide technical assistance and oversight of the development of a health information exchange network focused on improving quality of care. The overall goal of developing the DC HIE is to create the technology and business infrastructure that will enable all health care stakeholders in the District to achieve program efficiencies and improved care outcomes through secure exchange of patient health information.

The resource will also ensure that the DHCF will meet with program’s objectives for the establishment and operation of DC HIE and ensure the program is aligned with District stakeholders to ensure support for and use of HIE services.
