Contract with DC Government/ Agency DHCF
Complete Description
DHCF’s Health Care Operations Administration has a need for a senior technical project manager. The senior technical project manager will serve as the lead project manager as DHCF works with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to establish procure, implement, and certify a new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
The senior technical project manager will work with DHCF to finalize business process and technical requirements in support of the development of a request for proposal. Additionally, the senior project manager will actively participate in the procurement, vendor selection, implementation, and certification of a new Medicaid data warehouse. Currently, the District’s existing 30-month datamart contains an insufficient amount of data to allow for comprehensive data analysis and trending within the Medicaid program. Therefore, the DSS effort will seek to extend the datamart to a full data warehouse with analytical reporting capabilities. In conjunction with the DSS effort, the senior project manager will work with CMS and the District’s fiscal agent to implement the federally mandated ICD-10 project. Implementation of ICD-10 will require extensive systems changes to the existing MMIS platform in order that the District can become compliant by the federal mandate deadline of October 1, 2014.
Lastly, the senior technical project manager will focus on the District’s fulfillment of the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0. MITA 3.0 is a CMS federal mandate that requires Medicaid states to assess their Medicaid enterprise and develop strategic roadmaps to improve MITA maturity.
