Complete Description
As part of the OCFO PMO team, the consultant will be responsible for all aspects of business modernization project management of large projects utilizing OCFO IT and PMI Best practices.
The Consultant will work with a diverse team of OCFO IT and business units users and management, as well as a variety of contractor groups to ensure that large project modernization efforts are delivered on schedule and on budget. The consultant will be responsible for all aspects of project management over all project life cycle phases,
coordination, documentation, project planning, risk planning and management, communication management, change management, and stakeholder management. The consultant will engage a diverse set of stakeholder groups to ensure that project requirements and specifications are well understood and documented, that the
delivered systems meet OCFO end users needs, all project documentation and plans are maintained, and effective change management is occurring. The consultant will also act as part of the systems architecture group to architect and design enterprise application solutions, especially in the areas of financial systems. A deep understanding of public sector financial systems, preferably the systems within the District of Columbia is highly desired.
Consults with client or department heads to define need or problem, conducts research, performs studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization. Requires knowledge in fields defined as
information technology, computer programming, computer security, computer systems analysis, database management, information systems, Internet applications and development, software development, and related fields.
